Synopsis for Massachusetts and Rhode Island coastal waters:
Dry today with a weak cold front crossing the waters late.
Another weak cold front slides through on Tue. A frontal system
pushes through on Wed bringing scattered showers. Gale force gusts
possible late on Wed through Thu, but with drier weather as high
pressure nudges in. Still dry with the high overhead on Fri.
 
Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank
National Marine Sanctuary:
 
.TODAY...W winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 2 to
4 ft.
.TONIGHT...W winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 2 to
4 ft.
.TUE...NW winds 15 to 20 kt, becoming W 10 to 15 kt in the
afternoon. Gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 2 to 4 ft.
.TUE NIGHT...W winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt. Seas
2 to 3 ft.
.WED...SW winds 10 to 15 kt. Gusts up to 20 kt in the morning.
Seas 2 to 3 ft. A chance of showers in the afternoon.
.WED NIGHT...W winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 20 kt,
increasing to 25 to 30 kt with gusts up to 35 kt after midnight.
Seas 2 to 3 ft, building to 3 to 5 ft after midnight. A chance of
showers.
