.SYNOPSIS FOR THE MIDDLE TEXAS COASTAL WATERS...

Strong onshore flow this afternoon across the bays and nearshore
waters, especially south of Port Aransas, will weaken to moderate
levels tonight. Winds across the offshore waters are expected to
strengthen slightly, but remain at moderate levels. However, there
could be brief periods where winds become strong at times across the
far offshore waters. If the stronger winds remain persistent, then a
Small Craft Advisory may be needed tonight. Moderate to occasionally
strong onshore winds can be expected Saturday. Moderate southeasterly
flow will become moderate to strong Sunday afternoon through
Monday in response to tighter pressure gradients with Small Craft
Advisory conditions. Then flow relaxes to moderate levels and
veers to the north Tuesday after a front moves offshore. Another
round of Small Craft Advisory conditions is expected Tuesday
evening through Wednesday. Then, winds will relax to weak to
moderate levels and slowly become onshore around mid- week.
